Seminole County Moms Run This Town!

Altamonte-Wekiva Springs Life magazine Art Director Heather Loomis shares her experience, and the inspiring encouragement, she's enjoyed by becoming a member of the mom's running group, Seminole County Moms Run This Town. Wether you're a leisurely walker or an experienced marathon runner, there's a spot waiting for you, too!

At almost 1,300 members strong, the running group Seminole County Moms Run This Town is motivating Seminole County moms (and all women) in our area to be the best runners they can be.

After I started training for my first half marathon, I was talking with my sister-in-law Emily and she told me about this group called Moms Run This Town (Seminole County Chapter). She had been running with some of these wonderful ladies for awhile and I remembered reading a story about the group that was published in Lake Mary Life magazine. Then, while speaking with another friend, Erin, she told me about the same group, and added me to their Facebook page. After I was added, I started seeing posts from all the amazing women who are members.

It doesn’t matter if you are starting out and just walking or an experienced marathon runner, everyone in this group is free to ask questions and share their experiences – good, bad, and everything in between – related to running. SCMRTT has hosted group runs throughout the week in multiple areas including Lake Mary, Heathrow, Winter Springs, Casselberry, Oviedo, Sanford, and Altamonte Springs that members are encouraged to join.

Whether you post a lot or a little, I assure you that making connections with like-minded women in all stages of their fitness journeys will inspire you to want to be the best version of yourself.

Happy Running!
