Have campers of different ages and interests? Consider JCC Summer Camps.

Planning out a week-to-week summer schedule can be a tricky challenge for a family particularly when children and teens of multiple ages and interests live under one roof. The shuttling from camp to camp can be understandably exhausting. That’s why camps like those offered at The Roth Family JCC of Greater Orlando in Maitland can be so valuable to a busy family with high standards.

At the JCC where families from all backgrounds are welcomed kids as young as eight weeks of age can be enrolled in theRichard S. Adler Early Childhood Learning Center, and teens as old as rising ninth graders can participate in the JCC’s teen travel camp.

In between, there’s Camp J Junior, a unique summer camp experience for kids ages 18 months to four years old. In Camp JJunior, campers explore weekly themes that shape their daily activities, like creative arts, outdoor play and music, plus structured swim classes. All of the camp groups are led by the JCC’s expert teachers, who each complete more than 20 hours of continued early childhood education training annually.

Once campers enter kindergarten, they’re eligible for Camp J, the Roth Family JCC’s most popular camp program. At Camp J,campers entering grades K-9 get to experience summertime favorites, like sports, art, swim instruction, weekly field trips, and a whole lot more, all led by highly trained and selectively chosen counselors. Each Camp J age unit is specially designed to provide the most enriching age-appropriate experience possible.

Within Camp J, kids who have an extra interest can opt for a specialized sports or theater track. Camp J: Theater encourages campers to work within an ensemble to create vivid characters and be part of an exciting musical theater production. Each four-week session ends with two public performances of a professionally produced show with costumes, sets, and music in theJCC’s theater.

Campers looking for a highly specialized sports experience can opt for Basketball Camp, taught by Laron Profit, the OrlandoMagic assistant coach; Soccer Camp, taught by the Orlando City Soccer club; or Tennis Camp, taught by the JCC’s residentUSPTA professional. Sports camps are open to campers entering grades two through nine.

Extended care is available from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., making the JCC even more convenient. The JCC also offers a NewCamper Discount of $100 per child entering grades K-10 if they have never attended JCC Summer Camp or haven’t since2012 or earlier.
