With a touch of Southern charm and her finger on the pulse of the hottest fashion trends, new Rich Hippie owner Kim Sketo and her creative crew are ready to knock your socks off...
Not to worry. Wearing socks will be the last thing on your mind as you slip on Rich Hippie’s latest new sandals and up-to-the-minute accessories. And while the freshest wardrobe options are sure to dazzle, Rich Hippie’s steadfast shoppers will rest easy knowing that tried-and-true lines like Vocal, Adore, and Lee Anderson are always on hand with the most recent pieces in stock.
After all, it was Rich Hippie’s abundance of top-quality clothing and accessory items that made Kim fall in love with the boutique’s appeal in the first place. Well, it was that, along with Rich Hippie’s helpful and talented team members.
Originally from Alabama, Kim later moved to Georgia where she met her husband (now of 24 years) Larry. In Atlanta, Kim spent time raising children, working in retail, and managing a boutique before moving to the Altamonte area three years ago. Right away, Kim became a faithful Rich Hippie shopper, and she even helped out with fashion shows and merchandise markdowns.
“I just fell in love with the luxurious quality and comfort of the clothing and accessories here, and the sales associates are all so professional and caring,” says Kim with a smile.
When an opportunity to take ownership of Rich Hippie opened up, Kim jumped at the chance.
“My heart has always been in this store, so this is like a dream come true for me,” says Kim.
Since Kim became the owner, it’s been an exciting whirlwind of fashion shows, private parties, and charity events. In February, Rich Hippie is planning an exclusive Valentine’s party so that gentlemen shoppers can enjoy a cocktail and appetizers while choosing the perfect gift for their sweetheart. Kim and her staff also encourage ladies to schedule private parties at the boutique for their charity events. Rich Hippie will donate 30 percent of any group’s sales to the charity of their choice, or provide a 30 percent discount to the entire group.
“We are having far too much fun at Rich Hippie to call it work,” admits Kim. “There is something here for everyone. So if you haven’t stopped by in a while, come on in, relax, and enjoy the whole experience!”
