Dr. Mark A. Falco’s Smile Design Studio in Lake Mary feels like a tropical oasis tucked into the Lake Mary Professional Campus near I-4 and Lake Mary Boulevard. Inside the brightly decorated office with its island-inspired theme, Dr. Falco and his staff practice general dentistry, dental implants, emergency dentistry services, preventative care, sedation dentistry, and even orthodontics including Invisalign clear braces.

But the office’s signature asset is the dentist himself, a dedicated practitioner with 20 years of experience who is trusted to work on some of the most high-profile smiles around: those of Miss Florida beauty pageant winners.

A past pageant sponsor, Dr. Falco writes The Smile Doctor column for the national magazine Pageantry. The Smile Design Studio Facebook page features video clips of Dr. Falco and Miss Florida 2009 Rachael Todd speaking about oral health and nutrition (a subject in which Dr. Falco holds a master’s degree).

When it comes to restoring a beautiful smile, Dr. Falco wants patients to know that dental implants may be a great alternative to crowns and bridges. All of those options are key, Dr. Falco says, in helping patients who may have lost teeth or know they have teeth that cannot be saved.

At Smile Design Studio, high-tech software ensures that dental implants are designed to precise specifications.
“This is how we get the best result,” says Dr. Falco. “It’s the same way an architect makes plans before construction.”

Smile Design Studio also features a mobile CT scanner to give Dr. Falco and his team all the information they need before a restoration procedure. And because Dr. Falco is a general dentist, his implant patients have a significant advantage.

“A general dentist knows how the restoration will look and work long-term,” Dr. Falco says, noting that the combination of services creates a better patient outcome and a more streamlined experience.

Smile Design Studio accepts most insurance plans, and it also offers two discount savings plans. With the convenience of a small annual fee, patients can save on routine visits or more advanced work. For new patients, a $99 new-patient special includes X-rays, a periodontal assessment, exam, and more.

When they’re not serving their loyal patients, Dr. Falco and his team are actively engaging with local organizations, groups, and companies to raise awareness about oral health and the effect it can have on the whole body.

“We’d like to educate people in the community on the importance and advances in dental health,” Dr. Falco says.
