Choosing a pediatrician to manage the health and wellness of a child is an important responsibility. That’s why, when parents hear words like amazing, awesome, and excellent to describe the physicians at Wekiva Springs Pediatrics, they listen.

Members of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Wekiva Springs Pediatrics team – led by Doctors Luisa D. Carrasquero MD, FAAP, and Jaqueline M. Freyre-Cubano MD, FAAP – strives to provide top-quality patient care by offering services that exceed the highest medical standards.

“We believe educating parents on the optimal wellness choices for their kids will lead to a healthy lifestyle,” Dr. Carrasquero says. “We encourage a trusting patient-doctor relationship based on mutual understanding, communication, and caring.”

Offering individualized sick and well-care appointments for newborns, children, and teens, Wekiva Springs Pediatrics also provides lactation, vaccine, vision, and sports physical services in a culturally diverse, multi-lingual environment. ADHD and ADD counseling and treatment and laboratory services are also delivered on site.

Located at 407 Wekiva Springs Road and open Monday through Friday with Saturday hours, the practice accepts most major insurance plans including Medicaid and many PPOs.

“As partners in the health and welfare of our families, we continually strive to be accessible, family-centered, comprehensive, coordinated, compassionate, and culturally effective,” Dr. Carrasquero says. “Our goal is to serve as a guide for parents and children who wish to enjoy quality, long-term health and happiness.”
